Folklore competition “Rozhen” 2019 – regulations and terms

Participation in the Competition is voluntary and free of charge.
In the Competition can perform folk singers, instrumentalists, dancers, narrators, singing and dancing groups, folk customs and rituals, orchestras and ensembles.
Professionals are not allowed to participate in the Competition.
The participation of foreign ensembles and individual performers of Bulgarian folklore is also allowed.
There will be a competition for authentic folk male, female and children’s traditional costume and its attractive presentation.
On four scenes, the participants in the Competition present their program under the following regulation:
Dance groups and folk customs groups – 8 min.
Singing and instrumental groups – 6 min.
Individual performers – 5 min.
The performances are monitored and evaluated by a competent jury, with the best performers being awarded the I, II, and III place in the different categories. All participants receive certificates for participation.
The copyrights on the performances belong entirely to the organizers.
The program of the Festival can be filmed and broadcasted by electronic media only after preliminary contracts have been signed with the organizers.
Candidates apply for participation using a template, published on the web site of Smolyan Municipality: www.smolyan.bg and distributed to all municipalities in Bulgaria.
The application form includes: name of the group, institution, manager, number of performers, e-mail address and telephones for contact, repertoire, duration of the performances, additional information about the desired day and time for the participation of the group.
Within three business days each request will be confirmed. The schedule of performances in the program will be consistent with the order of the received applications.
The organizers reserve the right to change the program depending on the number of applications submitted for the same day and time.
Travel and accommodation costs, overnight stays and meals are at the expense of the participants.
The deadline for submission of applications is not later than 14.06.2019
