In its over 100-year history, the Rozhen Festival celebrates the greatest values of the Bulgarian national spirit:

• respecting the traditions and the family roots
• worship before the patron saints, testimony of the ancestors
• a will for freedom, impervious by the separation of state borders
• spaciousness and triumph of the Rhodope folklore

Before and now, families and friends gather here to experience the Bulgarian spirit and to keep the memory of this meeting, as did the Shishkov family in the far 1908.
